When you want your shrubs to look better than the neighbour's you need a power Hedgetrimmer. 

They are available in either petrol, electric or battery-powered. Different size engines generally mean a difference in cutter bar size so try and buy what suits you the best. 

However, the bigger the cutters, the heavier the whole unit, and the more strain on using it. 

Electric hedgetrimmers are light and ideal for the smaller jobs. 

But, if using a cord does not suit you, and you don't like the thought of petrol-powered units, there are many battery- powered models.

Big jobs need petrol-powered machines.
